Facilitated conversation and served as a mentor for a small, interdisciplinary group of graduate students thinking about ways to engage in various forms of public scholarship and community-focused work as part of their scholarly journeys and careers.
Fellow, Engaged Pedagogy Initiative - Fall 2020
Explored theoretical foundations and ethical implications of community-engaged learning and developed a community-engaged learning course for undergraduate students including assignments, course plan, and syllabus.
PROJECT MANAGER, DORIS DUKE CONSERVATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM - sept 2017 to sept 2020
Managed programming, mentored, and led research project teams of undergraduate students participating in the two-summer Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program at the University of Michigan. This program was for undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds in the environmental field, many of which now are in graduate programs and careers in the environmental field.
